The club will take action to deal with any incidence of disciminatory behaviour, acccording to club disciplinary procedures.
Child Protection Policy
-
Every child or young person, defined as any person under the age of 18, who plays or participates in football should be able to take part in an enjoyable and safe environment and be protected from abuse. This is the responsibility of every adult involved in football.
-
Seahaven Harriers L&GFC recognises its responsibility to safeguard the welfare of all children and young people involved in the club by protecting them from physical, sexual or emotional harm and from neglect or bullying. The club is determined to meet its obligation to provide the highest possible standard of care.
-
These procedures apply to anyone involved with the club whether in a formal or informal capacity. For example, managers, coaches, referees, parent volunteers and medical staff. Seahaven Harriers will provide Child Protection training through the Football Association, for all adults involved with the club on a formal basis and will seek to promote good practice throughout the club, in accordance with this policy and procedures.
-
Seahaven Harriers will undertake enquiries to establish that all club volunteers do not have convictions or cautions that would identify them as being unsuitable to work with children. Seahaven Harriers will consider, having taken advice, whether anyone who has a previous criminal conviction or caution for offences related to the abuse of children or young people, violence or any sexual offences should be excluded from working within the club. This position is reinforced by U.K. legislation and guidance.
-
Seahaven Harriers recognise that bullying is a form of abuse and will also not be tolerated within the club. If recognised as occurring, the club will take appropriate action to deal with the offending behaviour.
-
Seahaven Harriers will take all allegations or suspicions of abuse seriously and act appropriately in accordance with this policy and related legal frameworks.
